Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Foshan) Early Childhood Education and Integrated Development (ECEID) Seminar held
The afternoon of June 17 witnessed the seminar of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Foshan) ECEID co-organized by Foshan University(FOSU) and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation Center (YIC) and Foshan Guowei Education Investment Co. Ltd at Lecture Hall A2 in Xianxi Campus of FOSU. Simultaneously, the Hong Kong Innovation Centre and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of UM joined the online event. Focused on “Exploring Bay Area Preschool Education and Cultivating New Era Seedlings”, functioning as a “concentric circle” as well as “forging a cooperative community” , this seminar is to set up a platform for preschool education and talents exchange for the Bay Area.
Over 200 officials and experts from the Bay Area attended the seminar, including such leading members as Professor Zeng Zheng, General Secretary of CPC, FOSU as well as Chairman of the Greater Bay YIC, Wu kejian, former Director of Education Bureau, Hong Kong as well as Golden Bauhinia JP, Guo Qixing, Dean of Hong Kong Financial Services Institute, Huang Enhua, Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance, etc..
On behalf of FOSU, Zeng Zheng presented the high-level science and technology faculty achievement of FOSU in the welcoming speech. “The construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a significant and far-reaching strategic scheme proposed by our nation. Education – the “engine of siphon effect” would promote the Bay Area construction.” Zeng Zheng believed, “in the context of the country’s vigorous promotion of the development of the Bay Area, strengthening education exchange and cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, innovating the training mechanism for kindergarten teachers and promoting the comprehensive development of preschool education are the mission endowed to us educators. Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have the opportunity to once again pilot the reform and innovation for preschool education, and they can deepen and broaden their positions and consensus on education cooperation in the Bay Area.”
Followed by a set of strategic agreement signed by the organisers, the opening ceremony for FOSU Early Childhood Education Incubation Base and the Greater Bay Area Early Childhood Education Incubation Base were unveiled. The agreement, cooperated in terms of the joint programmes, concerns about the Bay Area preschool education, incubation, research and quality curriculum.
A number of experts from FOSU, Guangzhou University and Shenzhen University , Wu Kejian, Wang Chuang, Guo Qixing, Chen Yanting, Ding Jianhua, Xie Baojian, Peng Qian, Liu Guo yan, Zhong Mei, for instance, contributed the keynote speeches, their discussion covering the field of childhood education policies, courses and games, teaching approaches, and home-school cooperating education.
